From July 15th to 20th, the secretary of the Party Committee and the dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering of China University of Oceanography, Professor Yu Bo, the minister Dong Junyu, the dean of the School of Marine Technology Guan Lei, and the first deputy Party Committee secretary and the deputy minister Huang Ying visited alumni and partner companies including Alibaba Group in Hangzhou, Fenghe Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou, China Shipbuilding Group's Seventh Research Institute, Hainan Tropical Marine College, and Hainan Zhongzhi Information Technology Co., Ltd. to hold discussions on school-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation.
Yu Bo, representing the School of Information Science and Engineering (hereinafter referred to as the "Information Science and Engineering School"), expressed recognition for the alumni's achievements in various industries and expressed gratitude for their care and support for the construction and development of the School. Minister Dong Junyu introduced the overall situation, development strategy, and recent achievements of the School to the alumni. Yu Bo mentioned that the School attaches great importance to talent cultivation and integration of industry and education. The School will actively build a cooperation platform, introduce high-quality alumni to strengthen the talent cultivation force, deepen alumni friendship, and hope to further enhance the level of cooperation and expand the effectiveness of cooperation between schools and enterprises, strengthen organized scientific research, and achieve resource sharing and mutual benefit.
The chairman of Hangzhou Fenghe Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd., Zhang Liangqi, a physics alumni from the class of 1983; the secretary of the Party Committee of the hot sea school and a electronic and information systems alumni from the class of 1987, the former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the deputy dean of China University of Oceanography, Chen Rui; member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Seventh Five, Xia Tiejian, an alumni of physical oceanography from the class of 1992; the general manager of Hainan Zhongzhi Information Technology Co., Ltd., Yu Jiangang, an alumni of computer science and application technology from the class of 1993; the senior human resources director of Alibaba Group in Hangzhou, Jiang Zhonghua, an ocean technology alumni from the class of 1999, expressed their wish to jointly build a resource exchange platform and carry out multiple levels and types of cooperation to strengthen cooperation in various aspects such as technological innovation, talent cultivation, information exchange, project cooperation, and integration of industry and education.
During this period, Yu Bo and his delegation visited and exchanged with the Sanya Marine Research Institute of China Ocean University. Vice Dean Zuo Haofei introduced the development of the institute. Yu Bo expressed that the School of Information Science and Engineering will actively support the development needs of the research institute, strengthen scientific and technological cooperation, and help the research institute continue to play a leading role in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
