For students who are going to study in the UK in the future, there may be some nervousness or apprehension. Whether it's adapting to a new culture, social environment, or people, we need to be appropriate and respectful.

To address these concerns, we invited Karen, an intelligent and beautiful teacher, to give a special lecture on Western etiquette and international education. Did you find her insights enlightening?

Have any of you watched the famous British drama "Downton Abbey"? Aside from its gripping storyline and gorgeous sets, the show also showcases comprehensive Western etiquette. Karen started her lecture by using "Downton Abbey" as an example to introduce the origins and importance of etiquette, providing students with a basic understanding. For those who haven't seen it yet, we strongly recommend it!

The teacher explained several different types of greetings in various countries, such as a handshake, a greeting kiss, and a bow. The teacher also invited some students to demonstrate these greetings in front of the class, which everyone enjoyed, and they interacted with the teacher very happily.

In addition to the forms of etiquette, personal posture and demeanor are also essential as they determine one's temperament and represent respect for others. Karen had the students simulate a few small actions to experience the negative effects that can occur in actual communication. She also encouraged students to adjust their standing and sitting postures, aiming to achieve a relaxed standing posture and a stable sitting posture.

The highlight of this lecture was introducing dining etiquette to everyone. Karen not only taught students how to use utensils but also introduced different dining scenarios, how to distinguish different qualities of tableware, and more. She shared her knowledge extensively!
