To help everyone to fully focus on their goals and efforts in their studies during the third year, the school has invited Wang Zhongyi and Cao Jiajing, from the Heriot-Watt University China and East Asia Office, to introduce the study mode, lifestyle, and answer questions comprehensively about studying in the UK.

01

WHY HWU ?

Firstly, Teacher Wang emphasized the necessity and importance of going to the UK to complete undergraduate studies in the fourth year. He reminded everyone that they must work hard in their studies during the third year to ensure a smooth transition to the fourth year.

Heriot-Watt University's academic competitiveness, reputation, and value have remained at a first-class level in the UK and even globally, and are steadily improving. Therefore, coming to Heriot-Watt University to study is definitely a choice that one will not regret.

As a Heriot-Watt University alumnus, Teacher Wang also introduced us to the newly launched National Robotics Research Centre and Edinburgh Robotics Research Centre, where the research facilities are the latest and most advanced.

02

WHERE IS HWU ?

Heriot-Watt University is located in the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. Edinburgh is not only the second-largest financial center in the UK but also a city with rich culture and heritage, making it a very livable and exploratory city.

For the convenience of students' daily life and travel, public transportation within the school is very convenient, covering most major areas of the city's main areas within a half-hour drive. The school facilities are also complete, with spacious parks for fresh air, well-stocked libraries for studying and research, and professional football fields.

03

Q & A

During the Q&A session, students actively raised their hands to ask questions to both teachers, and the questions were varied. Overall, we could feel the students' concern and determination for further study in their postgraduate stage, and the answers from the teachers boosted their confidence. As long as they can achieve good grades in their undergraduate studies in the next two years, applying for overseas postgraduate studies is almost certain.

Regarding some issues such as the timetable of Heriot-Watt University or passport and visa application, the teachers provided detailed explanations and urged the students not to procrastinate and handle them as soon as possible.
